  We are now custom building Spartan entry doors for  late 1953 thru 1958 model Spartan trailers.  After 57+ years in service many of the Spartan entry doors are either all beat up, just plain worn out or possibly missing. These doors will be built very close to the original ones only better.  We will be using .040 aluminum instead of the .032 which was originally used.  We are adding a rigid foam insulation core for better R-value and more rigidity.  We are adding extra internal aluminum supports for added strength and durability.  Instead of a single panel of glass for the window, we will be using an inner and outer glass panel for better insulating value and less condensation.  The window will not recess in like the original one but each panal will be flush with the aluminum exterior of the door.  The windows will be available in round (1953-1955) or rectangles (1955-1958).  We will be offering 28” x 73” and 24” x 73” in either right hand or left hand configurations.  The doors will be set up for the original Bargman brand L-66 lock but will not come with a lock or a hinge but we do have custom made hinges available.  If your old door has a good L-66 lock it can be swapped over to the new door as well as the hinge.  These doors are custom made and may have a 2-4 week lead time for production.
