Description

The original seal for these windows were a combination seal that worked both as the glazing around the glass and the seal for sealing the window to the window jamb.  To my knowledge, no one is reproducing this exact seal but we are looking into doing so.  In the meantime, we have found that this D-seal we offer does a pretty decent job.  We use a utility knife to cut off all of the old seal except for the part that is holding the glass. We clean the back side of the aluminum frame that holds the glass then install this seal on the back side of the opening portion of the window.  For best results we suggest using our Part# CHW151 (1/4" x 1/2" weatherproof seal) on the window jamb also in order to get a good waterproof seal.  Often times the window glazing on these windows is still in decent shape but if not we just re-seal it with black 100% silicone caulking.  This seal is priced and sold per foot. It is .500 wide  x .360 tall. Comes with 3M adhesive on it.
